can anyone tell me what years ford made the F350 7.3 diesel? are they available for 2005?

7.3L Powerstroke Diesel was actually made by Navistar for Ford. Turbo diesel version was made from '98 through '03.
Pickups have had 6.0 only since mid '03. Not sure if 7.3 is still available in vans for '05 - it was still available in '04.

The Powerstroke actually has been in the Fords since '94, could be '95 though. Prior to that, the same 7.3 engine was used with an indirect injection system, just no turbo. The mid to late '80 models had the 6.9 in them. I'm not sure, but I think the switch from 6.9 to 7.3 was made around '91 when the bodystyle changed.
Ford, and Navistar for that matter, experienced some birthing pains with the early 6.0's. But from what I've read and been told, most all of the bugs are out. I know a few guys with them and they are all tickled pink.
