If you build a Fit from the Honda UK site, you'll go through the accessories part.

I just got mine today, after waiting a month because of the large demand. I am very pleased with it. It took maybe 5 minutes to install (and that includes reading the directions!). It ratchets forward and back a little more easily than I would prefer, but I think that's just a matter of getting used to it. It is the perfect height...level with the armrest on the door, and makes for much more comfortable driving. Very happy with the purchase! (I took pictures of the installation process and the completed project. Let me know if you would like for me to post them).

Yes, I would love to see the pictures. How much storage space is inside the armrest? Also, since my wife is rather short, with the seat all of the way forward, how far does the armrest project forward of the seat back? Finally, where did you purchase it and what is the cost?
Thank you so much for your help.
Regards

I have placed several pictures in a photo album on carspace. link">http://www.carspace.com/havingafit/.59a5b55d/
(I'm kinda new at all of this, so if linking to the album doesn't work, let me know!)
I also placed pictures showing the driver seat and the armrest all the way forward (surely nobody actually drives that way! If so, she must be tiny!) When in this position, it projects 12" from the seat back, and 5" from the seat front. I purchased it from Quality Automotive Interiors ">link titlehttp://www.qualityautointeriors.com for $139.00, total with shipping $147.65.
Also, storage size - It's length is 8" at top, 7" at bottom. Depth is 2" toward rear, 3" toward front, The width is 4.5" and the opening is 3.5" x 4.5". Not huge storage, but still nice!

havingafit,
Thank you so much for the pictures and detailed information on the armrest. You did an excellent job and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I could not have asked for more.

Thanks! Great details on this armrest. My duplicate post was made almost simultaneously with the other one. Thanks for posting the pictures.
How is the stability? It kind of seems like there will be leverage against the plastic cup holder it is attached to.

Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to add cruise control to a base Fit? I know the Sport model includes cruise control, but it is a more expensive car, and the spoiler, alloy wheels, and underbody kit are more appropriate for young people, and I'm not so young anymore.

My understanding is that the fly-by-wire throttle prevents any current aftermarket unit from working. We'll have to wait and see.
