Have you installed the gas cap? Does it fit? Will try to locate the part and order it.

I got mine at the Honda dealer when I picked up my car in April. $28 including sales tax.

Thank you for letting us know about the availability of the locking gas cap. We were told today by our local Honda dealership that Honda does not make a locking gas cap for the Fit - that there is no such part. We will follow up tomorrow, with this dealership, since we just purchased it on-line.

If they give you a hard time, then go to the parts department, and tell them you just bought a brand new Element, and you need a locking gas cap for it. It's the same part number as the Fit's (17680-SAA-G00).

Spoke to the service manager at my local dealership. I told him that a locking gas cap is available for the Fit, even though the parts dept didn't believe this to be the case. I told him I orderded the part on line along with other accessories. He graciously offered to install the accessories I purchased when they arrive. A decent thing to do.

Got the armrest and assembled it. The bottom is plastic, looks to be pretty sturdy, and has lots of room inside. It's not adjustable (unless you take it apart first). But one big problem: it installs using double-sided adhesive tape, which was NOT included in the package. I wrote them of ocurse, but have not yet had an answer. Otherwise, I like it even though it won't flip up. It does have a built-in plastic cupholder that pulls out in the back, and it will hold CD jewel cases (probably around 6). There's also a front compartment inside, which looks good for small change, matches, small pocketknife, pack of gum, etc. etc. Now to see if they send me the tape so I can actually use it...

So the vendor said that they would not send tape, and screw the armrest in. But no screws are supplied, and you can't screw it in without remoovint the front seats. I bought some double-sided foam tape and installed the 2mrest. So far, so good. Still easy to snap the seat belts in, and use the handbrake and shift.
